Tata Workers’ Union Forms New Finance Committee, Marks a Shift in Tradition
Historic Change in Composition of Tata Workers’ Union Finance Committee
In an unprecedented move, the Tata Workers’ Union has announced the formation of a new Finance Committee, marking a significant departure from past practices. This development occurred three months after the last union elections.
JAMSHEDPUR – For the first time in its history, the committee’s composition excludes regular committee members, focusing instead on including all office bearers in pivotal roles.
This change contrasts sharply with the previous format, which consisted of ten members.
The newly formed committee will be led by Union President Sanjeev Chaudhary Tunnu, with Deputy President Shailesh Singh acting as the chairperson.
The team also comprises General Secretary Satish Singh, Vice President Shahnawaz Alam, along with Sanjay Singh, Sanjeev Tiwari, Rajesh Chaudhary, Assistant Secretary Nitesh Raj, Ajay Chaudhary, Shyam Babu, and Treasurer Amod Dubey.
While the Finance Committee has been swiftly put together, the possibility of adding more members in the future has not been ruled out, as indicated in the official notification.
It’s also noted that the Union President will hold the ex-officio position of chairman within this committee.
This restructuring reflects a strategic shift in how the Tata Workers’ Union approaches its financial oversight, suggesting a move towards a more inclusive representation of its leadership in financial matters.
