RIMS in Ranchi Unveils New Neuro Ward with 40 Beds

Health Minister Inaugurates Advanced Neuro Ward at RIMS

Health Minister Banna Gupta inaugurated a 40-bed extension ward in RIMS’ Neurosurgery Department, equipped with modern facilities and aimed at improving patient care.

RANCHI – The Neurosurgery Department at RIMS has been enhanced with a new 40-bed extension ward, inaugurated by Health Minister Banna Gupta in the Old Emergency section.

During the inauguration at the RIMS Trauma Center auditorium, Gupta announced an Rs 8 crore intensive care package for RIMS staff under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

The state-of-the-art ward includes a Minor Operation Theater, dressing room, and High Dependency Unit, significantly improving neuro-related patient care.

This expansion is a response to the growing number of neuro-related cases, ranging from head to spinal injuries, and aims to alleviate the issue of patients being treated on the floor.

Principal Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, speaking at the event, emphasized the need to expand all RIMS departments due to the high patient influx.

Singh assured that the concerns of RIMS doctors would be addressed, and discussed enhancing government hospitals in Jharkhand, inspired by models in Gujarat and Kerala.

MLA Samri Lal praised the efforts of RIMS Director Dr. RK Gupta and Health Minister Banna Gupta for their contributions to healthcare.

Dr. RK Gupta, satisfied with the completion of the extension ward, highlighted its impact on patient care and the significant achievements during his tenure.
