45 more Covid-19 positive cases in Jharkhand on Saturday, total infected 2339, active cases 603

Ranchi: Saturday proved especially disappointing for Jharkhand as 45 more persons tested positive for Covid-19.

Out of these 45 cases, 11 are from Seraikela district, 10 from East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur), five each from Bokaro and Gumla, three each from Hazaribagh and Ranchi, two each from Chatra and Sahibganj, one each from Deoghar, Giridih, Kodarma and Dhanbad. On the other hand, one patient was also found in Lohardaga. With this, the total infected persons tally has reached 2339 in the state.

There are 603 active cases in the state, while 1724 persons have been cured and discharged from hospitals.

The state has seen 12 deaths due to Covid-19.

The rate of transmission of Covid-19 is on the decline for now, though new cases are still being detected here and there in the rural areas.

Garhwa is the only district in the state, which does not have even a single active case.

East Singhbhum has the maximum number of active cases at 161, while 205 patients have been cured and discharged in the district.
