Stringent Measures for Fair JSSC Exams in East Singhbhum

East Singhbhum district is gearing up for the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission General Graduate Qualified Combined Competitive Examination-2023 with strict measures to ensure a fair, peaceful, and malpractice-free process at all 88 centers.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a major move to ensure the integrity of the upcoming Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations, East Singhbhum’s administrative and police officials have ramped up security and surveillance measures.

The district, under the guidance of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri, is all set to host the exam in three shifts on January 28 and February 4, 2024.

Senior law enforcement and administrative figures including Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Kishore Kaushal, and DDC Mr. Manish Kumar participated in a key meeting to discuss these arrangements.

City SP Mr. Mukesh Lunayat and Rural SP Mr. Rishabh Garg, among others, contributed to the comprehensive planning process.

Detailed instructions were provided to all assigned officials, including Static Magistrate-cum-Centre Superintendents and Patrolling Magistrates, focusing on maintaining peace, order, and fairness at the exam centers.

The meeting emphasized the importance of preventing any form of cheating or malpractice during the examinations.

As part of the rigorous monitoring system, biometric attendance for candidates will be closely supervised to ensure full compliance.

In a strict stance against malpractices, Shri Bhajantri highlighted the severe legal consequences under the Jharkhand Competitive Examination Act, 2023.

This includes life imprisonment and hefty fines up to Rs 10 crore for anyone found guilty of cheating or facilitating cheating.

Candidates have been strictly prohibited from carrying any electronic devices or unauthorized materials into the examination halls.

Additionally, extensive arrangements, including CCTV surveillance and adequate facilities like toilets and water, have been made at the examination centers.

Female candidates will undergo frisking by female police officers to maintain decorum and security.

The officials are required to be present at the examination centers well in advance to oversee these arrangements and ensure smooth conduct of the exams as per the Commission’s directives.
