Twin Cyclonic Circulations Affect Jharkhand Weather
Jharkhand Faces Weather Shift Due to Cyclonic Circulations
Twin cyclonic circulations impact Jharkhand, causing cloud cover and rainfall in southern and central regions, affecting temperatures and visibility.
JAMSHEDPUR – Meteorological experts have observed an increase in fog intensity across various locations this morning, leading to diminished surface visibility.
In a recent weather update, Met department officials have forecasted a significant temperature increase in southern and central Jharkhand by 3-5°C over the next day, followed by a 2-3°C drop in the subsequent days.
In Jamshedpur and central Jharkhand’s neighboring districts, residents experienced overcast skies and dreary conditions today.
Weather predictions indicate a sustained rise in minimum temperatures across the region for the next 24 hours, before a gradual decrease.
The weather observatory in Jamshedpur recorded a higher than average minimum temperature today at 14 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees above the norm.
In various districts such as Daltonganj, Bokaro, and Chaibasa, as well as in the West Singhbhum region, there was a noticeable increase in minimum temperatures.
In Jamshedpur, the minimum temperature also surged due to increased cloudiness.
Ranchi’s temperature readings today showed a minimum of 11.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding the usual range by two degrees.
The impact of the twin cyclonic circulations is expected to lead to isolated light rainfall in southern and adjoining central parts of Jharkhand today.
Satellite imagery identified one cyclonic circulation over southern Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, and Telangana at an altitude of 0.9 Km, and another over northwest Uttar Pradesh at 3.1 Km above sea level.
Weather experts link the recent cloud cover and rainfall threat in Jharkhand’s southern and central regions to two neighboring cyclonic circulations.
