The election schedule for Tata Workers Union, the authorized union of Tata Steel, has been announced, with voting and counting set for February 3 in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The election process for the Tata Workers Union, the official union of Tata Steel, is set to commence with a detailed schedule announced by election officer CH Srinivas Rao.

The union’s elections will be held on February 3, with the entire voting and counting process to be completed on the same day.

The event will take place at the Tata Workers Union office in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, while voting will occur across various departments within Tata Steel’s premises.

The counting of votes is scheduled to take place in the Steelenium Hall of Tata Steel.

The announcement has significantly heightened the election atmosphere within the organization.

Key dates and activities in the Tata Workers Union election schedule include:

– Draft constituency publication: January 20 until 8 pm

– Claim and objection application on constituency: January 22, 2 pm to 7 pm

– Final constituency publication: January 23 until 2 pm

– Voter list publication per constituency: January 23 until 7 pm

– Voter list claim objection application: January 24, 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 4 pm

– Final voter list publication constituency-wise: January 24 at 8 pm

– Nomination paper distribution: January 25, 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm

– Nomination paper acceptance and submission: January 27, 9 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm

– Candidate list publication: January 29 at 10 am

– Nomination paper scrutiny: January 29, 11 am to 5 pm

– Candidate withdrawal: January 30, 9 am to 1 pm

– Final candidate list publication: January 30 at 6 pm

– Ballot samples and identity cards distribution to candidates: February 1, 9 am to 12.30 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm

– Voting: February 3, 7 am to 3 pm across Tata Steel departments

– Vote counting, committee meeting, and office bearer elections: February 3 from 5 pm onwards at Tata Steel’s Steelenium Hall

– Executive Committee member certificate distribution: February 13 at 10 am

– Election process completion: February 14 at 6 pm

The union sources added that the meticulously planned schedule reflects the union’s commitment to a transparent and orderly election process, essential for the representation of Tata Steel’s workforce.
