JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ajoy Kumar, former MP and senior Congress leader, distributed pension, ration, and Ayushman cards to 500 beneficiaries in Golmuri on Saturday.

At an event held in Dusadh Bhavan, 200 elderly citizens received pension certificates, while 150 people were given ration cards and another 150 received Ayushman cards for health benefits.

Dr. Kumar emphasized that ensuring the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the most marginalized is a top priority.

He shared that over 10,000 people have already benefited from the ongoing ‘Jankalyan Rath’ initiative, which aids in submitting online applications for government schemes across different areas of Jamshedpur.

The event also highlighted the success of the ‘Maiyya Samman Yojana,’ which has benefited a significant number of women.

Dr. Kumar pledged to continue this outreach through the Jankalyan Rath program, ensuring more people can access vital government services.

He praised the Hemant Soren government, stating it has been performing well in all sectors.

He remarked that critics of the state’s development should "fix their glasses," as the progress is evident, particularly in empowering women and providing jobs for the youth.

He further credited the government for its dedication to the public welfare, especially through schemes like the Maiyya Samman Yojana and employment opportunities for young people.
