Key IAS Officers Reassigned in Jharkhand’s Administrative Overhaul

In a significant move, the Jharkhand government reshuffles eight IAS officers, including Rajiv Arun Ekka as Member Revenue Board, marking a strategic administrative realignment.

RANCHI – The Jharkhand state government has initiated a major administrative reshuffle, transferring eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.

Rajiv Arun Ekka takes on a crucial role as Member Revenue Board.

Ekka is also designated as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, handling the Backward Class Welfare Department and the Panchayati Raj Department.

Ajay Kumar Singh, previously the Principal Secretary of Rural Affairs, now also holds charge of the Health Department.

Vandana Dadel, serving as Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat, expands her portfolio to include the Women and Child Development Department.

Mast Ram Meena, earlier the Principal Local Commissioner, is appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Planning Development Department.

Manish Ranjan, the Secretary of the Drinking Water Department, takes over the responsibilities of the Land Revenue Department.

Rajesh Sharma moves from the Labor Department to become the Secretary of the Drinking Water Department.

Prashant Kumar steps in as the new Secretary of the Finance Department.

K Srinivasan, the Director of the Advanced Training Institute (ATI), will now also serve as the Local Commissioner for Jharkhand Bhawan, retaining his role as ATI Director.

This reshuffle, effective immediately, signifies a strategic realignment in the state’s administration, aiming to enhance efficiency and governance across various departments.
