New Tata Punch EV: India’s Cheapest Electric SUV Starting at Rs 10.99 Lakh

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd introduces the new Tata Punch EV, India’s most affordable electric SUV, starting at Rs 10.99 lakh, challenging Hyundai Creta’s dominance in the segment.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEM) has unveiled the Punch EV, setting new benchmarks in India’s electric vehicle market with its competitive pricing and advanced features.

Positioned as the most affordable electric SUV in India, the Punch EV starts at Rs 10.99 lakh, directly rivalling the price point of Hyundai Creta.

The electric vehicle will be available at all Tata Motors showrooms approved for EV sales and Tata.ev locations nationwide.

Punch EV offers two battery configurations: a 25 kWh option with a 315 km MIDC range and a 35 kWh version extending up to 421 km, catering to diverse customer needs.

It features two e-Drive options: a 60kW motor generating 114Nm of torque and a 90kW motor offering 190Nm of torque, both ensuring a top speed of 140km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 9.5 seconds.

The vehicle’s battery pack and motor come with an IP67 certification for dust and water resistance and an 8-year or 1,60,000-kilometer warranty.

An optional AC fast charger (3.3kW or 7.2kW) is available for the Punch EV Long Range, alongside 50 kW DC Fast Charging capabilities that can charge the car from 10% to 80% in just 56 minutes.

The car boasts smart lighting systems and bi-functional LEDs, enhancing its modern EV appeal with an iconic design.

Inside, a 26-inch digital cockpit and HARMAN infotainment display elevate the driving experience, complemented by a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated emblem.

Connectivity features include wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and the Arcade.ev software suite, along with compatibility with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant.

The Punch EV offers ZConnect Connected car Technology for wristwatch connection and is equipped with advanced features such as wireless charging and automated headlights.

Safety is a priority with six airbags, an electronic stability program, ISOFIX, and additional features like SOS Calling and a 360-degree camera system, making it one of the safest vehicles on Indian roads.
