DM Manjunath Bhajantri Urges Effective Use of CSR Funds for Social Welfare
District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri leads CSR Committee meeting, focusing on coordinated use of CSR funds for entrepreneurship and social projects.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a CSR Committee meeting Tuesday at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur, chaired by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, a strategic approach to CSR fund utilization was discussed.
Mr. Bhajantri emphasized the importance of using CSR funds in coordination with the district administration for maximum impact.
The meeting aimed to nurture and provide a platform for 200 entrepreneurs from the district over the next two years.
Special focus was placed on prioritizing youth, women, social welfare, health, education, and employment generation schemes in CSR initiatives.
Company representatives presented their action plans for the upcoming year, with Mr. Bhajantri urging them to ensure transparency and adherence to government guidelines in their projects.
He highlighted the district’s potential in employment generation, mentioning local institutions like Tata Foundation, NIT, and XLRI as key players.
The importance of entrepreneurs in creating jobs and driving economic growth was underscored.
Mr. Bhajantri directed that the schemes for youth, women, social welfare, health, education, and employment generation should be prioritized in the CSR fund allocation.
The committee was formed to create a mechanism for conducting, implementing, managing, guiding, and monitoring CSR activities at the district level.
The meeting saw participation from various stakeholders, including Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, District Planning Officer Mr. Arun Dwivedi, and representatives from Chambers of Commerce and various companies.
