Hatia-Islampur Train Halts Resume at Namkum, Tatisilwai

Key Jharkhand Stations Revived; Rs 1968 Cr for Rail Upgrades

After a four-year hiatus, Hatia-Islampur train recommences stops at Namkum and Tatisilwai, signaling major rail sector developments in Jharkhand.

RANCHI – Monday evening marked a significant development in Jharkhand’s rail connectivity as the Hatia-Islampur train (18624) resumed its stoppage at Namkum and Tatisilwai stations.

The train, which had ceased operations due to the Corona pandemic, reached Namkum station from Ranchi at 7:48 PM.

Notable figures, including Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Khijri MLA Rajesh Kachhap, and former MLA Ramkumar Pahan, were present for the flag-off ceremony, led by Divisional Railway Manager JS Bindra.

This event also saw a gathering at Tatisilwai station, where MP Seth emphasized the ongoing railway rejuvenation efforts.

MP Seth announced a substantial investment of Rs 1968 crore for the renovation of key railway stations including Ranchi, Hatia, Piska, Namkum, Tatisilwai, and Silli.

He highlighted the current government’s commitment to railway development and informed about a Rs 12 crore allocation for Namkum station’s first phase of development.

Seth also mentioned plans to construct 1000 underpasses nationwide, emphasizing the new era of development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

A request will be made to the Railway Minister for the resumption of all train stoppages at Namkum and Tatisilwai, as per Seth’s discussion with the DRM.

MLA Rajesh Kachhap underscored the convenience this train stoppage will bring to local residents and advocated for more infrastructure like underpasses or overbridges.

Former MLA Ramkumar Pahan and DRM addressed the public, highlighting the positive impact of these developments.

Key officials and representatives, including Nishant Kumar, Shreya Singh, and Pramod Kumar Singh, were present at this notable event.
