JAMSHEDPUR – The Horticultural Society Jamshedpur’s 34th Annual Flower Show and 41st All-India Rose Convention has become a major attraction, drawing huge crowds from across the nation. Organized with support from Tata Steel UISL and sponsored by Tata Steel, the event runs from December 29, 2024, to January 1, 2025, at Jamshedpur, featuring stunning floral displays, innovative gardening practices, and spirited competitions.

Celebrating Excellence with Prize Distribution

A grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, held on December 30, 2024, celebrated the top performers in various categories. Mr. D.B. Sundara Raman, Vice President (Raw Materials), Tata Steel, graced the event as Chief Guest, along with:

  • Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel
  • Mrs. Ruchi Narendran, Chairperson, Horticultural Society Jamshedpur
  • Mrs. Sumita Nupur, President, Horticultural Society Jamshedpur
  • Ms. Sanyogita Dhnvantare, President, Indian Rose Federation
  • Mrs. Anuradha Mohapatra, General Secretary, Horticultural Society Jamshedpur

The ceremony honored winners across eight categories, including Chrysanthemums, Bonsai, Medicinal Plants, and more, reflecting exceptional gardening talent and dedication.

Workshops and Huge Turnout

The event’s workshops, especially one on “Traditional Methods of Rose Cultivation Under Soilless Conditions,” drew 120 attendees, providing innovative insights into sustainable horticulture. A sit-and-draw competition saw enthusiastic participation from over 500 children, adding a creative touch to the show.

Huge crowds thronged the venue, captivated by rare rose varieties, colorful floral designs, and diverse plant exhibits. Visitors appreciated the opportunity to learn and celebrate horticultural excellence.
