Quick Action by Azad Nagar Police Leads to Arrest of Armed Intruders
A brave woman’s actions led to the swift capture of three armed criminals following a home invasion in Lakshya Apartment, under Azad Nagar police jurisdiction.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a dramatic turn of events at Lakshya Apartment, under the Azad Nagar police station area, three armed intruders were apprehended within four hours of attempting a robbery at Mohd. Kapil Khan’s residence.
The criminals, armed with a toy pistol, sharp weapon, and a knife, invaded the flat and assaulted the women present, along with attacking Mohd. Kapil Khan.
During the chaos, a courageous woman managed to grab the young man holding the pistol and raised an alarm, prompting the assailants to flee on foot.
The Azad Nagar police, alerted by the residents, launched a swift operation, tracking down and arresting the culprits in Seraikela.
The arrested individuals, identified as S Shaikh, M Ansari, and A Haq from Mango Gulabbagh, had a criminal history, with Shaikh previously jailed for a snatching incident in Burmamines.
A Haq was found to have been residing at Rani Amma Lodge.
The police successfully recovered the toy pistol, chapar, knife, and the criminals’ bike from the scene.
Mohd. Kapil Khan filed an FIR for robbery at the Azad Nagar police station, commencing further investigations into the incident.
The locals said that this event underscores the effectiveness of community alertness and rapid police response in ensuring public safety in Jamshedpur.
