Tribal Development Focus of New PM-Janman Campaign in Jharkhand

District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri launches PM-Janman Yojana campaign in Jharkhand, aimed at socio-economic upliftment of tribal groups through health, education, and livelihood initiatives.

JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri flagged off the PM-Janman Yojana campaign chariot from the Collectorate.

This initiative is part of the government’s effort to connect special tribal groups with various development schemes.

The campaign, under the directives of the Jharkhand Chief Minister, focuses on raising awareness among primitive tribal groups about development schemes and ensuring their benefits.

Shri Bhajantri emphasized the commitment of the district administration to the social, economic, and educational upliftment of these tribal groups.

Under the PM Janman Yojana, the campaign aims to bridge gaps in health, education, and livelihood for members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG).

The campaign will ensure that PVTG communities, families, and settlements receive essential services and facilities.

Activities include providing 100% facilities like housing, electricity, water, roads, and access to education and health services in PVTG settlements.

In the health sector, services such as vaccination, safe delivery, Ayushman card benefits, and clean drinking water will be prioritized.

Additionally, benefits for children and pregnant women through Anganwadi centres, livelihood means, forest rights leases, and ration distribution are included.

Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar, Director NEP Mrs. Jyotsna Singh, and Assistant Director Social Security Mrs. Neha Sanjana Khalkho were present at the event.

Shri Bhajantri directed the Prachar Rath operators to extensively publicize in remote areas, ensuring that beneficiaries are well-informed about the various schemes.

The Prachar Rath will visit all PVTG settlements in remote hilly and forest areas of the district, spreading awareness about the PM Janman Yojana.
