JAMSHEDPUR – The newly renovated East Singhbhum District Congress headquarters, Tilak Library, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony led by state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh.
The historic building, originally constructed in 1923, had fallen into disrepair. Former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu attended the function.
Historical Significance
The structure holds deep connections to India’s freedom movement. “This building was constructed with support from freedom fighters,” stated a senior party leader.
Meanwhile, District Congress President Anand Bihari Dubey welcomed the dignitaries. The ceremony included traditional rituals and unveiling of the foundation stone.

Former state minister Banna Gupta emphasized the building’s importance. Moreover, he highlighted its role in promoting Congress ideology.
