Jharkhand Cabinet’s Landmark Decision: Officers to Seek Cabinet Approval Before Responding to External Agencies

34 proposals, including a significant policy on state officers’ response to external agencies, approved in the Hemant Soren cabinet meeting in Jharkhand.

RANCHI – The Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand cabinet has approved 34 significant proposals in a recent meeting.

One notable decision is the new protocol for state officers summoned by external agencies like ED, CBI, or IT.

Officers must now inform the cabinet via their departments before responding to such summons, with the cabinet deciding on further action.

34 decisions have been approved in the cabinet meeting held under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Approval has been given to allot 6 acres of land for Taj Hotel in Ranchi Smart City Core Capital Area.

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel announced these decisions.

Key decisions include:

– Revised budget for Namkum-Doranda four-lane road under Road Division Ranchi.

– Administrative approval for Rs 30 crore for Khunti Torpa Kolebira Path.

– Funding for land acquisition to extend Boro Airport runway in Giridih.

– Laptop facility approval for officers above Joint Secretary in the Indian Administrative Service.

– Dismissals of Dr. Seema Sahu and Dr. Sanjay Kumar for extended absences.

– Increased food allowance for NCC Cadets.

Changes in Jharkhand Anganwadi Sevika Sahayika Service, Selection Rules.

– Construction of 2500 Anganwadi center buildings with Rs 277.32 crore.

– Creation of posts for Pandit Raghunath Murmu University operations.

– Post-facto approval of the second supplementary expenditure statement for FY 2023-24.

– Approval of plans for religious places in Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes areas.

– Amendment in Jharkhand Municipal Election and Election Rules.

– Land allotment for Azim Premji School in Itki.

– SOP approval regarding state officials’ summons from investigating agencies.

– Opening of cyber police stations in 8 districts.

Further decisions include infrastructure developments like road construction and improvements, land acquisition for airport expansion, and establishment of educational institutions, reflecting the government’s focus on infrastructure, law and order, and education.
