JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Congress, under the leadership of newly appointed in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, held a series of strategic meetings on Wednesday.
The day commenced with a Congress Legislature Party meeting and concluded with a session involving the Corporation Board’s Chairman, Vice Chairman, and members.
In a significant move, the Jharkhand Congress Parliamentary Affairs Committee empowered National President Mallikarjun Kharge to make critical decisions for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state.
Kharge’s responsibilities include selecting the Lok Sabha seats Congress will contest from among the state’s 14 constituencies, and nominating candidates.
Former Jharkhand Congress president Pradeep Balmuchu emphasized unity in supporting the high command’s choices to secure victory in the elections.
He remarked on the serious discussions in the Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) about crafting a winning roadmap for the upcoming polls.
Another pivotal meeting led by State Congress in-charge Mir involved key party figures, including Lok Sabha constituency in-charges and heads of major organizations.
State General Secretary Rakesh Sinha shared insights from this gathering, highlighting the new in-charge’s focus on strengthening the party at the booth level and building a robust presence at the Panchayat level.
Mir’s strategy involves addressing local issues to reinforce Congress‘ connection with the populace.
These meetings signify a concerted effort by Jharkhand Congress to consolidate its position and strategize effectively for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
