JAMSHEDPUR – Railway Police’s vigilant efforts have led to a breakthrough in a major railway scrap scandal in Jamshedpur.
Officials report that the criminals, identified as Mohammad Salauddin alias Raja and Mohammad Kalim, were arrested in the Rammadaiya Basti area under Adityapur police station’s jurisdiction.
Both individuals are known residents of Jamshedpur’s Jugsalai locality.
The arrest yielded about two tonnes of railway scrap, highlighting the scale of the illegal operation.
This bust is part of a larger investigation into the widespread trade of railway scrap in Rammadaiya colony.
Due to its location near the railway line, this area has become a hotspot for unloading and disposing of railway goods disguised as scrap.
Police are currently intensifying their search for the gang leader, believed to be central to this illicit trade.
