Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir in Bagbera, Jamshedpur, marked National Mathematics Day with a grand celebration of Srinivas Ramanujan’s 136th birth anniversary.

JAMSHEDPUR – Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Bagbera, commemorated the 136th birth anniversary of renowned Indian mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan with enthusiasm.

The school celebrated National Mathematics Day, highlighting Ramanujan’s contributions to the field of mathematics.

Shivaji from All India Grahak Panchayat graced the event as the chief guest, alongside other dignitaries including School Managing Committee Chairman Arvind Singh and Secretary Kavita Parmar.

The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and paying floral tributes to Ramanujan’s photograph, symbolizing respect and remembrance.

School principal Ranjay Kumar Rai introduced the guests and extended greetings on the occasion of Sri Ramanujan Jayanti.

Shivaji, during his address, emphasized Ramanujan’s status as a famed mathematician and his significant contributions to mathematics.

The school organized a mathematics fair, showcasing 200 exhibits related to mathematics, demonstrating the students’ engagement with the subject.

Students, along with their parents and school faculty, actively participated in the event, contributing to its success.

The celebration not only honored Ramanujan’s legacy but also fostered a love for mathematics among the students.

This event at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir underlines the importance of commemorating historical figures in education and inspiring the younger generation.
