Naxalites Sabotage Railway Track in Goilkera Posaita Section

Blast on Howrah-Mumbai Route by Naxalites Disrupts Rail Services

Naxalites target railway tracks under the Goilkera Posaita section of the Howrah-Mumbai route, causing significant damage and halting train operations.

JAMSHEDPUR – Naxalites blew up the railway track under the Goilkera Posaita section of the Howrah-Mumbai main railway route.

The incident took place on Thursday night at around 10 pm.

Today, on 22nd December, there is a Bharat Bandh of Naxalites, but even before the bandh started, the Naxalites blew up the tracks of the third railway section in front of pole number 356/29A near Karo Bridge under Goilkera Posaita section.

OHEs and sleepers of the third line were completely damaged due to the blowing of the track.

The railway track became narrow by about one metre.

Here, on hearing the news of railway track explosion, the wheels of railways have stopped in Chakradharpur division.

All the trains passing through this route were stopped everywhere.

After 10 pm, train operations on this railway section were completely stopped as a precautionary measure.

However, the remaining two tracks are fine.

Rail operations can be resumed only after the patrolling is done by fixing the tracks.
