DBMS Kadma High School Celebrates 18th Annual Sports Meet

JRD Sports Complex Hosts Annual Sports Day for D.B.M.S. Kadma High School

DBMS Kadma High School’s 18th Annual Sports Meet at JRD Sports Complex showcases student talents in sports and athletics.

JAMSHEDPUR – On Friday 22nd December, 2023, the 18th Annual Sports Meet of D.B.M.S. Kadma High School was held in JRD Sports Complex.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Hemant Gupta (Head, Adventure Programme and Sports Academics Tata Steel Ltd., Jamshedpur) declared the Sports Meet open and motivated the students with his speech to actively participate in sports for a healthy living.

Colonel Vinay Ahuja was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.

Pratham Ray and his team of prominent sportsmen, who have brought various accolades to our school, lit the torch and Arunima Roy, the School Sports Minister took the sportsman’s oath.

The senior students of Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire and Topaz house marched in co-ordination to the beats of the school band.

Students participated in different events and drills with enthusiasm and vigour.

There were various events for the junior students like Visit to the Zoo, Shopping mall, Pick up the potato, Obstacle Race, Bursting the Balloon etc. while the seniors participated with in events like the Shot Put, 100, 200,400m, Relay Race and Tug-of-War etc.

There were drill displays by the students of Std. I-VIII, adding colour and zeal to the Sports Day.

The occasion was graced by the members of Managing Committee, Mr. B Chandrashekhar (Chairperson Finance), Ms. Anita Ramkrishna (Hony. Secretary), Ms Bhuvana Krishnan (Treasurer), Ms. Kamla Venkat (Joint Secretary), Ms. P.S. Aruna (Joint Treasurer), Ms. Jayanti Rammurthi and Ms. Sri Vidya Narayan, Members of SMC, Mr. S. Venkat Raman and Mr. K.S. Narayan (DBMS BOT Members), Ms. Gurpreet Bhambra (Principal) and Ms Suparna Roy and Ms S.Shireen (Vice Principals), teachers, parents and students.

The Sports Day was a huge success under the guidance of Ms. Suprava Panda (Sports Co-ordinator) and other sports teachers.

The Annual sports meet concluded with lowering of the flag and singing of the School and National Anthem.

There were cheers of joy while the winners took their trophies for different events.

Best Athlete Junior Girls – Sumona Isha Mandal 90 (Emerald)

Best Athlete Senior Boys – Kaushal kumar Gupta 12A (Emerald)

Best Athlete Senior Girls -Amesha Pramanik 11C (Emerald)
