Jamshedpur’s DAV Public School Hosts Thrilling State Level Tournament
The DAV National Sports State level tournament 2023 at DAV Public School, Bistupur, Jamshedpur, concludes with excitement and anticipation for the national games in Delhi.
JAMSHEDPUR – DAV Public School in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, has successfully concluded its vibrant DAV National Sports State Level Tournament 2023, propelling winners towards the national stage in Delhi.
The event, marked by spirited competitions in Wushu, Archery, and Roller Skating, showcased exceptional young talent across various age categories.
The under-19 boys’ Recurve round in archery is scheduled for 13th December 2023, with some players currently participating in the SGFI event in Gujarat.
Competitions in archery were divided into Indian and Recurve Rounds across different age groups and distances, offering a thrilling display of precision and skill.
Roller Skating events, categorized by age and distance, added dynamic energy to the tournament, with races ranging from 300 to 1000 meters.
In Wushu, the athletes were grouped based on weight, demonstrating agility and strength in this martial arts discipline.
The tournament’s closing ceremony was a vibrant affair, with participants receiving well-deserved accolades amidst cheers and applause, setting the stage for the national games in Delhi.
Mrs. Pragya Singh, ARO cum Principal of DAV Public School Bistupur, inaugurated the tournament, emphasizing the balance between sports and academics and highlighting the recognition of DAV National Sports by the Government of India.
Her motivating speech set a tone of sportsmanship and integrity for the participants.
The ceremony began with a unifying recital of the DAV Gaan by students from 33 schools, accompanied by 51 escorts, symbolizing the unity and spirit of the DAV community.
This state-level event at DAV Public School in Jamshedpur has not only celebrated young sporting talent but has also laid a foundation for future champions in the national arena.
