‘Democracy’ Takes Center Stage at I.N.D.I.A. Alliance’s Delhi Rally

I.N.D.I.A. Alliance Mobilizes Thousands to Defend Democratic Rights at Ramlila Maidan

In an impassioned display of commitment to democracy, thousands gathered at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan under the banner of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.) to protest against perceived encroachments on democratic freedoms by the current central government.

RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, Kalpana Soren and Mahua Majhi represented the JMM in the INDIA Alliance’s “Save Democracy” Rally held on Sunday in New Delhi.

In an impassioned display of commitment to democracy, thousands gathered at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan under the banner of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.) to protest against perceived encroachments on democratic freedoms by the current central government.

The concluding chants of "Jai Hind" at the rally underscored a deep-seated belief in the enduring power of democracy, signaling a collective determination to resist authoritarianism. Speakers at the event, including prominent political and civic leaders, reaffirmed their dedication to democratic values, vowing that both Jharkhand and India at large would stand unwavering in the face of challenges to their democratic framework.

At the heart of the rally, JMM leader Mahua Maji lauded the transformative role of women in leadership, pointing to Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal as exemplars of the strength and potential of female leadership.

Maji’s commendation of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance as a champion of women’s empowerment highlighted the event’s broader agenda of fostering inclusivity and progressive change in the nation’s political landscape.

Chief Minister Champai Soren, Kalpana Murmu Soren, and JMM leader Mahua Maji were at the forefront, articulating a shared vision of preserving democratic principles against the backdrop of increasing authoritarian tendencies. Their speeches resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of unity and action in protecting the nation’s democratic ethos.
