DAV Cluster I Tournament Ends with Exciting Wins in Cricket, Athletics

JAMSHEDPUR – The DAV National Sports, Cluster-I Tournament-2023 concluded its two-day event with resounding success in Cricket and Athletics.

The second day brought together talented athletes from various DAV schools, showcasing their skills in a wide range of track and field events.

The cricket finals saw a thrilling victory for the NS DAV Kanke under 19 team, praised for their exceptional teamwork and strategic play.

The venue, adorned with colourful banners and flags, buzzed with anticipation and enthusiasm.

Track events were the highlight, with athletes demonstrating remarkable speed, agility, and endurance in under-14, under-17, and under-19 categories.

There were 45 track events and 4 field events across these age groups, including discus throw, shot put, long jump, high jump, and various races.

Winners were felicitated on the spot by ARO cum Principal Mrs. Pragya Singh and principals of participating schools: Mr. Anuj Kumar Mishra (DAV Public School Jamadoba, Dhanbad), Mr. Kamlesh Kumar (DAV Cooperative Senior Secondary School, Khalari, Ranchi), Dr. Sunil Kumar (DAV Public School Barora, Dhanbad), and Mr. Asis Kumar Mandal (DAV Public School Mahuda, Dhanbad).

The event was celebrated for igniting passion and inspiring young athletes to pursue their dreams in sports.

Mrs. Pragya Singh, in her role as ARO cum Principal, took the opportunity to motivate the athletes, highlighting the importance of focus and dedication towards achieving their goals.

She also appreciated the students’ efforts and encouraged them to excel in zonal and national levels.

The event not only showcased sportsmanship but also strengthened the sense of community and belonging among the budding athletes.
