Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta Addresses Issues During MGM Medical College Inspection

Banna Gupta’s Constructive Interaction at MGM Medical College Paves Way for Upgraded Healthcare Facilities

Health Minister Banna Gupta’s proactive visit to MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur, unveils the roadmap to addressing infrastructural and student concerns, signaling a positive step towards enhanced healthcare education and facilities in Jharkhand.

JAMSHEDPUR – On a mission to address the concerns of the medical student community and take stock of the infrastructural developments, Jharkhand’s Health Minister Banna Gupta paid a visit to the MGM Medical College premises on Sunday.

The visit, which came on the heels of a morning meeting with the student delegation at his Kadma office, showcased Gupta’s dedication towards improving the medical education landscape in the state.

The students, who voiced their issues earlier in the day, were assured by the Minister of a comprehensive inspection to ascertain the on-ground reality.

True to his word, Gupta embarked on a thorough inspection of the college premises, including the hostel, toilet, playground, and auditorium, to gauge the existing facilities and areas needing attention.

Further, the Minister took note of the progress status of the new hospital building being constructed by LNT on the college campus.

His interaction with both the students and the college management provided a clearer understanding of the challenges faced, paving the way for a constructive dialogue.

Notably, this visit falls in line with Gupta’s ongoing efforts to bolster the healthcare infrastructure in the state.

Previously, he had promised a new 100-bed facility at the college, highlighting the government’s commitment to augmenting healthcare amenities.

Moreover, a high-level committee has been formed to bring the ailing MGM Medical College and Hospital back on track, as part of a broader initiative to revamp the healthcare facilities in Jamshedpur.

The inspection, which also saw Gupta engaging with LNT officials regarding the new hospital building, reiterated the government’s resolve to ensuring timely completion of the construction projects and addressing the concerns of the medical fraternity comprehensively.
