Top Seeds Dominate Opening Day at Beldih Club AITA Men’s Tennis Tournament 2023

Local talents stumble as top-seeded players cruise through the preliminary rounds at Beldih Club AITA tournament.

Prominent players sail smoothly through the first day of the ongoing Beldih Club AITA Men’s National Ranking 1 Lac Tennis Tournament 2023 at sand-clay courts.

JAMSHEDPUR – Matches are set to commence at 8:00 am tomorrow as the top seeds reigned supreme on the opening day of the Beldih Club AITA Men’s National Ranking 1 Lac Tennis Tournament 2023.

With the tournament unfolding at the sand-clay courts of the Beldih Club, top-seeded Ritabrata Sarkar of Bengal led the parade of dominant performances.

Local talent Priyaansh Agarwal faced an embarrassing loss against Sarkar, with the match concluding at a brutal 6-0, 6-0.

Likewise, Jharkhand’s own Sai Krishna Ganta couldn’t rise to the occasion and suffered defeat at the hands of Odisha’s Swostik Satyakam Pradhan.

Md Fardeen from Bengal, the tournament’s fourth seed, wasted no time in overpowering Shagnik Bose, registering a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory.

Fardeen’s performance echoed that of Abhinansu Borthakur, the 2019 finalist at Beldih Club, who dispatched Divyesh Rampuria with a similar level of ease, scoring 6-1, 6-0.

The one-sided contests offered no surprises but certainly set the tone for what appears to be a fiercely contested series of matches in the days ahead.

The tournament aims to attract tennis enthusiasts and nurture local talent, but the first day was clearly marked by the dominance of seeded players over local hopefuls.
