District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri Holds Meeting to Reinforce Environmental Guidelines Amid Unauthorized Infrastructure Development
Key officials convene to enforce NGT guidelines and prevent unauthorized construction activities in Swarnarekha river bank and Dalma eco-sensitive zone.
JAMSHEDPUR – A high-level meeting was convened by District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri to tackle unauthorized infrastructure development in sensitive environmental areas.
The meeting specifically targeted the Swarnarekha river bank and the eco-sensitive zone of Dalma.
The District Magistrate emphasized the urgency of adhering to National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines for any construction activities in these vulnerable areas.
In addition, strict instructions were laid down against allowing encroachments that may adversely impact the environmental balance.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Shri Manish Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shri Jaideep Tigga, District Mining Officer, Executive Officer of Mango Municipal Corporation, officials from the Forest Department, Pollution Board, and Swarnarekha Project.
The cross-departmental gathering aimed to bring all concerned departments onto the same page, focusing on the urgency to prevent any further unauthorized construction.
