Tata Steel Officials and Sports Department Unite to Remember the Founder’s Passion for Sports and Industry

Jamshedpur marks the 164th birth anniversary of Tata Group founder Sir Dorabji Tata with tributes and reflections on his enduring legacy in industry and sports.

JAMSHEDPUR – A special tribute meeting convened in the city to commemorate the 164th birth anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata, the founding luminary of the Tata Group.

The event took place at Sir Dorabji Park in Bistupur and was graced by key figures from Tata Steel and the Sports Department.

Members of the VP Chanakya Choudhary Union of Tata Steel joined officials from the Sports Department to honor the late industrialist and philanthropist.

Participants paid their heartfelt tributes to Sir Dorabji Tata, who is often hailed as a global hero.

In his address, VP Chanakya Choudhary of Tata Steel emphasized Sir Dorabji Tata’s profound love for sports.

According to Choudhary, Sir Dorabji was so dedicated to supporting athletes that he even mortgaged his house’s diamonds to raise funds for them.

Today, we are gathered to pay homage to such an extraordinary figure who left an indelible mark not just on industry but also on sports, said Choudhary.
