Tata Steel Training Centre cadets win big at Jharkhand State Ranking Table Tennis Championship, bagging 14 medals across various age groups; Olympian Anand Menezes inspires for future triumphs.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Training Center cadets demonstrated exceptional prowess at the 1st Jharkhand State Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2023 held at Sahebganj from August 4 to 6, winning a total of 14 medals.

Twelve events yielded six Gold, one Silver, and seven Bronze medals across various age groups, reflecting the extraordinary talent and commitment of the young athletes.

The East Singhbhum District Team, which consisted of 24 Tata Steel Training Centre cadets—14 males and 10 females, showcased remarkable skill and determination throughout the competition.

Olympian Anand Menezes, Chief Coach (Athletics), and Dinesh Rakshit, Manager (Sports) and senior state player, expressed their gratitude and pride towards the medalists and Coach Apurba Dasgupta for a stellar performance.

They further inspired the players to strive for even greater success in subsequent competitions, emphasizing the importance of continued dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence.

The triumph of the Tata Steel Training Centre cadets is a testament to their hard work, coaching, and the strong sporting culture promoted by the institution.
