Ghatshila Railway Station Transformation Set to Begin under Amrit Bharat Yojana
Revamp of Ghatshila Railway Station under Amrit Bharat Yojana announced, aiming at enhancing passenger experience and amenities.
GHATSHILA – In a recent development, the Ghatshila Railway Station is set to be revamped as a part of the nationwide initiative known as the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The foundation stone for the renovation was laid by Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, in an event graced by a host of notable guests, including former MLA Laxman Tudu, Dr. Sunita Devdoot Soren, Dinesh Sao, and railway officials.
At the heart of the renovation plan is a long-term strategy aimed at improving passenger amenities, including but not limited to, enhanced access, waiting areas, restroom facilities, cleanliness, elevators and escalators, and free Wi-Fi services.
In his address, MP Mahato highlighted the continuous efforts by the Railways to enhance train connectivity and modernize station amenities across the nation.
He emphasized that the Ghatshila station will see comprehensive development, ensuring all necessary amenities for travelers are provided.
Unique to this plan is the ‘One Station One Product’ concept, which includes an improved passenger information system, executive lounge, allocated areas for business meetings, and attractive landscaping to cater to the specific needs of each station.
Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren also expressed his support for the development plan during his speech.
The event also saw various cultural performances by school children at the station, for which they received due recognition and awards.
The event was marked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual attendance, where he laid the foundation stone for the renovation of 508 railway stations across the country, including 20 stations in Jharkhand.
