Durga Puja Committee Urges Repair of Bagbeda Visarjan Ghat Bridge
Officials pledge timely completion of bridge repairs before upcoming festival
Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee seeks urgent repairs to Bagbeda Visarjan Ghat bridge for immersion ceremonies.
JAMSHEDPUR – In order to request immediate repairs to the Bagbeda Visarjan Ghat bridge, a delegation from the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee convened with local officials.
Heavy vehicles and immersions have been prohibited on the Bagbeda Visarjan Ghat bridge, which is essential for Durga Puja immersion ceremonies, since last year.
The bridge’s inadequate restorations necessitated a relocation of immersion activities to Beli Bodhanwala Ghat, which was inadequate for the volume of immersions.
The District Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police were presented with a memorandum by the delegation, which underscored the urgency of the situation.
The meeting was attended by several prominent members, including Vice President Gautam Prasad and General Secretary Ashutosh Singh.
The committee emphasized the necessity of initiating repair work promptly to guarantee the bridge’s operational status prior to the Durga Puja festivities this year.
Complications and an incident occurred during the immersion ceremonies last year as a result of the relocation to Beli Bodhanwala Ghat.
The Senior Superintendent of Police and District Deputy Commissioner recognized the urgency of the situation.
The committee was reassured by officials that they were dedicated to concluding the repair work on time.
The timely restoration of the bridge is essential for the successful execution of immersion ceremonies during the forthcoming Durga Puja festival.
