Jamshedpur Zone Sweeps Victories at CISCE Regional Table Tennis Championship

In an exciting table tennis showdown, Jamshedpur Zone bags all the winning titles at the CISCE Regional Championship hosted by DBMS English School.

JAMSHEDPUR – Famed cricketer and DBMS English School alumnus, Ishank Jaggi, concluded the CISCE Regional Table Tennis Championship with an inspiring address, encouraging the young athletes to strive for success.

Before his address, tokens of appreciation were presented to several dignitaries by Mrs. Priya Nagrajan, Joint Secretary of the School Managing Committee, while Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Secretary of the School Managing Committee, handed a souvenir to the Chief Guest.

DBMS English School’s principal, Rajani Shekhar, shared a few words with the audience.

A heartwarming welcome dance was performed by students of the DBMS English School, following the sportsman’s oath taken by Archita Dey, a promising young athlete from the Jamshedpur Zone.

Various respected figures, including Bhanumathi Neelakantan, the school’s patron, B Chandrashekhar, the chairperson, Archana Ramesh, the secretary, Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, the joint secretary, and Lalitha Seshadri, the treasurer, were present to cheer the participants.

The competition, having athletes from both Patna and Jamshedpur zones, witnessed a total of 54 participants across three age categories: Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 for both boys and girls.

The U-19 Boys category saw Jamshedpur Zone, represented by Prathamvir Bhamra, Yash Raj Nagelia, Ishan Agiwal, Kailash Kumar, and Yogya Agarwal, emerge victorious.

The U-19 Girls team from Jamshedpur Zone consisted of Janvi Prasad, Richa Arvind Singh, Shreya Kumari, Mani Purty, and Shristi Kumari.

In the U-14 Boys category, the winning team comprised of Sougato Mukherjee, Siddhant Panda, Satyaki Chatterjee, Ahaan Agarwal, and Aditya Kumar from Jamshedpur Zone.

The U-14 Girls winners, representing Jamshedpur Zone, were Parleen Bhamra, Sneha Priya, Prajakta Srivastava, Ashmi Jyoti, and Niharika Agarwal.

Jamshedpur Zone’s U-17 Girls team, consisting of athletes Archita Dey, Aadya Chauhan, Lisa Sinha, Muskan Kumari, and Riya Bakrewal, clinched the trophy.

The U-17 Boys division was won by Jamshedpur Zone, represented by Soumil Mahato, Akshat Jyoti, Dian Singhal, Jayam Bakrewal, and Luvya Agarwal.

Jamshedpur Zone claimed the champion titles across all categories, marking a triumphant conclusion to the CISCE Regional Table Tennis Championship.
