Namya Smile Foundation Distributes Menstrupedia Books at Birsanagar School

The Namya Smile Foundation spearheads a menstruation awareness campaign in Birsanagar, distributing over 500 Menstrupedia comic books to female students.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Johar Periods campaign, a joint initiative of Namya Smile Foundation and the Rotaract Club of Steel City, Jamshedpur, arrived at Gyandeep School in Birsanagar.

The campaign hosted a workshop on Saturday at Gyandeep School to further the cause of menstrual education among girls.

More than 500 female students participated enthusiastically in this workshop.

Under the Johar Periods campaign, Menstrupedia comic books, which explain the process of menstruation, were given out to the schoolgirls.

Despite societal difficulties in discussing menstruation, Namya Smile Foundation continues its partnership with Menstrupedia to spread awareness and break taboos.

Reshu Ranjan, a member of the organization, provided an informative presentation on menstruation and related topics, utilizing the Menstrupedia comic books and the Johar Periods video.

Kunal Sarangi, former MLA and the founder of the organization, stressed the need for open discussions about menstruation in society.

He believes that change can only be achieved through education and spreading awareness among girls.

Present at the event were Sister Salomi, Principal of Gyandeep School, former MLA Kunal Sarangi, President of the Rotaract Club of Steel City Nirmal Kumar, Rishu Ranjan, Amit Kumar, and several other members of the organization.
