Sakchi Shops Removal Ordered for Road Widening Project near Jail Chowk

District Administration orders removal of 21 Sakchi stores near Jail Chowk, Jamshedpur for road widening project; 18 establishments receive notice.

JAMSHEDPUR – At the location near Jail Chowk, a total of 21 establishments have been identified for removal as TSUISL (formerly Jusco) undertakes a road widening project, but the stores are impeding the construction zone.

Eighteen of the mentioned establishments have already received notice, indicating the seriousness of the government’s intention to clear the area.

The Circle Officer, who met with the store owners at the block office on Wednesday, was not satisfied with their response and insisted that they dismantle their businesses.

The government had previously sent notices to the shop owners, requesting them to provide why their shops should not be dismantled.

The removal of the Sakchi shops constructed around Jail Chowk is now an imminent process, reflecting the administration’s firmness for improving infrastructure and addressing traffic congestion in the area.
