Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy Appeals for Recognition of Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College

During Jharkhand Assembly Zero Hour on Wednesday, Saryu Roy, MLA of Jamshedpur East, urged the government to grant recognition to Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College, which has been operating for 22 years without official recognition.

JAMSHEDPUR – During the Zero Hour in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Saryu Roy, MLA from Jamshedpur East, brought attention to the ongoing issue of recognition for Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College.

Despite being operational for over two decades, the law college still lacks formal recognition.

The Higher Education Department has been sitting on the paperwork necessary for the law college to be accredited under the provisions of the Bar Council of India for an extended period.

Roy has therefore requested the assembly’s speaker to instruct the government to expedite this recognition process and bring the matter up for consideration in the cabinet.

The recognition of Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College as an independent law college is a critical issue for the region, the MLA stressed.
