Corona claims 2 more lives in Jharkhand, pandemic far from over

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 2 more lives in Jharkhand on Wednesday, taking the total death toll in the state due to the virus to 1077. Dhanbad and Ranchi both reported 1 death each on Wednesday.

According to official data, 46 new cases of coronavirus infection were also detected in the state. With this, the total number of infected persons in the state has now reached 1,18,839. On the other hand, 80 patients were also cured and discharged in the state on Wednesday, taking the total number of recovered patients in the state to 1,17,309.

Till date, Jharkhand has tested a total of 52,43,351 samples. Out of these, 1,18,839 have tested positive. For now, the state has only 453 active cases of corona infections.

The recovery rate in Jharkhand has now reached 98.71%, while the mortality rate is still at 0.90%.
