Adityapur Police Raid Liquor Mafia’s Hideout, Seize Illicit Liquor

On the instructions of SP Dr Vimal Kumar, Adityapur police have raided a notorious liquor mafia’s hideout, seizing a large quantity of illegal liquor.

SERAIKELA – On Wednesday, Adityapur police, under the directive of Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Vimal Kumar, raided the hideout of infamous liquor mafia Shiva at Uttamdih Sapra.

The raid was a part of the ongoing campaign against illegal liquor traders and criminals.

Acting on secret information, the police found and seized a substantial quantity of illicit liquor from the location.

A youth named Vishwambhar Singh, originally from Mayurbhanj, Odisha, was also taken into custody and has been sent to judicial custody following questioning.

Dr Vimal Kumar informed that during the raid, approximately 800 liters of prepared Mahua liquor was seized, and 500 kg of inflated Java Mahua and 300 kg of Mahua were destroyed on site.

The raid also led to the recovery of 4 touch screen mobiles, a small elephant, a motorcycle, and a large quantity of materials used in the production of illegal liquor.

in a stern statement, the SP clarified that under no circumstances would illegal drug traders be allowed to operate within the district.

He assured that such operations will continue in the future as well.

Following this successful raid, a sense of unease has spread among the region’s illegal liquor traders.

Shiva, a notorious liquor smuggler currently incarcerated, has his illicit business ongoing despite his jail term, the police said.
