Five home guard jawans have been suspended, while the City Manager Ravi Bharti, for now, has been reassigned to the JNAC office responsibilities.

The incident had invoked a major controversy. The traders had flayed the JNAC and police action. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato too had condemned the action and had called for action against the persons involved in the action.
