Mangilal Rungta School Distributes 1,400 Fruit Plants to Students for Eco-Forest Initiative

As part of an eco-forest initiative, the Mangilal Rungta Ten Plus Two School distributed 1,400 fruit plants to students to raise awareness about environmental preservation and sustainability.

CHAIBASA – Recognizing the Mangilal Rungta Ten Plus Two School’s commitment towards a sustainable future, an eco-enthusiast praised the institution’s initiative of involving students in planting fruit-bearing trees. This measure is seen as a significant step towards promoting environmentally-friendly practices and contributes to the school’s larger "Eco-Forest Plantation" programme.

This initiative would not have been possible without the combined efforts of Principal Shilpa Gupta, Anuj Kumar Chakraborty Bakshi, Ananjay Prasad, the entire teaching staff, Bal Sansad members, and the students. Initiated by Principal Shilpa Gupta in 2016, the programme has grown to include every student in the school, contributing to its comprehensive nature.

The school’s "Eco-Forest Plantation" programme aims to raise students’ awareness of environmental issues and instill a sense of responsibility for preserving the environment. To achieve this goal, the school has distributed around 1,400 fruit-bearing plants to all students. This initiative is a part of a wider push to encourage tree planting on a large scale.

According to one of the school authorities, the main objective of this programme is to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation, safekeeping our surroundings, and promoting a sustainable lifestyle among students. They added that challenges such as population growth, ozone depletion, global warming, deforestation, and pollution pose serious threats to human existence. The school believes that through this effort, students will gain valuable knowledge of these environmental concerns and develop a deeper understanding of their role in mitigating them.
