Manipal Tata Medical College Hosts Oration on the Occasion of Dr. TMA Pai’s 125th Birth Anniversary

MTMC hosts the distinguished Dr TMA Pai’s Oration on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of the founder of MAHE, Dr. Tonse Madhava Anantha Pai.

JAMSHEDPUR – Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) recently hosted a distinguished oration to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Tonse Madhava Anantha Pai, the founder of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, a distinguished professor and recipient of the Dr. B C Roy Award, delivered the oration.

The event was held to recognize Dr. TMA Pai’s inspiring contributions and to foster discussion on the globalisation of Indian medical education.

In an engaging lecture to the medical faculty and students of MTMC, Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra underscored the necessity and strategy for the internationalisation of Indian medical education.

Dr. Mishra emphasised the importance of aligning Indian medical education with international standards to enable Indian medical graduates to stand out on the global stage.

His comments shed light on the necessity of delivering high-quality medical education to keep pace with advancements in the global medical industry.

Many prominent members of the MAHE community, including Dr. Sharath K. Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Health Sciences, and Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Mangaluru campus, attended the event.

Also in attendance were Dr. Niti Nipun Sharma, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Strategy and Planning, Dr. Anup Naha, Chief Coordinator VSO, Dr. Abhishek Chaturvedi, Secretary VSO, and Dr. Pradeep Kumar G.

The oration served as an insightful platform for medical professionals and students to discuss the future of medical education and its alignment with international norms.
