JAMSHEDPUR – Following a serious ragging complaint, MGM Medical College has suspended a third-year student from the hostel for 15 days.

The college’s anti-ragging cell convened on Tuesday to address the complaint filed by a first-year student, who reported obscene and indecent behavior by a senior student from New Delhi.

This suspension marks the second ragging case reported within a week, prompting a unified response from university authorities and college management.

A comprehensive meeting was held involving the Dhalbhum SDO, Patmada DSP, the Principal of MGM Medical College, and anti-ragging officials to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Despite initial confusion caused by two students sharing the same name, the investigative process successfully identified the perpetrator, leading to immediate disciplinary action.

All third-year students have been sternly cautioned against ragging, with the college emphasizing a strict zero-tolerance policy. Further infringements are warned to result in severe consequences.
