DBMS College of Education Celebrates Rabindranath Tagore’s Birth Anniversary

Students and Faculty Pay Tribute to the World Poet through Performances and Presentations

DBMS College of Education commemorated the birth anniversary of renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore with a heartfelt celebration in the college auditorium, featuring an array of performances and presentations by students and faculty members.

JAMSHEDPUR – The birth anniversary of world poet Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated with great enthusiasm at DBMS College of Education.

The program began with the inauguration by College President Mr. B. Chandrashekhar, Secretary Mrs. Sripriya Dharmarajan, Secretary Governing Body Mr. Satish Singh, Principal Dr. Juhi Devada, and Vice-Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, who offered flowers on Tagore’s portrait and lit the ceremonial lamp.

In his address, College President Mr. B. Chandrashekhar emphasized the significance of the day, as it also marked the birth anniversary of Swami Chinmayanand.

He highlighted Rabindranath Tagore’s global recognition as a Vishwa Guru and encouraged everyone to follow in the footsteps of such great individuals.

The celebration featured a diverse range of performances, including a captivating dance by Sumedha set to the tunes of Geetanjali, presented alongside a PPT showcasing the original handwriting of the literary masterpiece.

Mrs. Pamela Ghosh Dutta enlightened the audience about the history and current activities of Shanti Niketan through an engaging drama.

The melodious voices of Mrs. Amrita Chaudhary, Mrs. Anjali Ganesan, and Mrs. Pamela Ghosh Dutta enthralled the audience with their renditions of Bengali songs.

B.Ed students actively participated in the program, with Arpita, Sumedha, Shubhangi, Nistla Shailja, Ashrita, Nikita, Manimala, Antara, Diya, Neha, Mamuni, and Akanksha playing crucial roles.

Ankur provided technical support, while Rana Surya presented a power point presentation.

Laxmikant and Ankita contributed to the event’s visual appeal by beautifully decorating the stage.

The program was skillfully conducted by Nitish and Shambhavi and was telecasted live on YouTube by Sudeep Pramanik.

Principal Dr. Juhi Pradita expressed her gratitude and congratulated the students, teachers, and staff for their efforts in successfully organizing the event.
