JAMSHEDPUR – Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey told a BJP convention in the city on Tuesday that collective public resolve would ensure India becomes a developed nation by 2047.
The “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan” was organised by the BJP Jamshedpur Metropolitan unit. The venue was the Parikh Hall of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce in Bistupur.
The event marked twelve years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. District president Sanjiv Sinha headed the organising team.
Moreover, Sinha opened the proceedings with a welcome address. He briefed the audience on the sweeping changes witnessed across the country.
Dubey was the chief speaker at the convention. He said the Prime Minister had transformed the mindset of governance over twelve years.
According to him, service, good governance and Antyodaya remained at the core. In addition, he said development benefits had reached the last person in society.
“India is today scaling new heights of self-confidence, security and global standing,” he said. He listed a strong economy, modern infrastructure, the digital revolution and Atmanirbhar Bharat among historic gains.
Furthermore, the minister spoke about welfare schemes. He named PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala, Har Ghar Jal, Jan Dhan and Digital India.
He said these programmes had brought hope and dignity to crores of citizens. Besides, schemes such as Mudra loans and PM Svanidhi had linked the poor to banking and self-employment.
On Jharkhand, Dubey struck a critical note. He said the state was rich in natural resources, yet several mines remained shut.
He blamed a lack of willpower and coordination on the part of the state government. However, he added that better synergy with the Centre could take Jharkhand to new heights of prosperity.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also addressed the gathering. He said the country had made unprecedented progress in self-reliance, women’s empowerment, farmer welfare and infrastructure.
He described public participation as the most vital force behind the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal. Every citizen’s involvement, he said, would turn the dream into reality.
Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu focused on women-led development. She said schemes now covered a daughter’s journey from birth to education, safety and self-reliance.
On the other hand, she termed the last twelve years historic for women’s social, economic and political empowerment. A large number of intellectuals and social representatives from Jamshedpur attended the convention.
