Seraikela: Surprise Police Station Night Inspection by SP Anand Prakash

Seraikela SP Anand Prakash’s surprise night inspection at RIT and Adityapur police stations keeps police officers on toes.

ADITYAPUR – SP Anand Prakash made a surprise visit to RIT and Adityapur police stations late on Monday night.

The first stop was the RIT police station, where the SP inquired about the duty policemen and the morning’s Hyva driver’s murder case progress report.

The SP spent about an hour reviewing different files and giving necessary instructions to the officers present.

Then, the SP proceeded to Adityapur police station, expressing discontent with the scene there.

Finding no OD officer, the SP reprimanded ASI Rajeev Kumar, the only officer on duty.

Upon hearing about OD officer Khalil Ansari being absent due to some official work, the enraged SP summoned the SHO, who was on night patrol at the time.

After a brief exchange, the SP personally inspected the computer room.

The SP also inspected the station’s security and inquired about the detainees’ well-being.

When questioned about the unexpected inspection, SP Anand Prakash classified it as a routine visit.

He said that surprise inspections keep officers honest and committed to their duties.

In response to a query about the two stations’ law and order situation, the SP claimed that everything was in order, though there were some minor lacunae for which he provided improvement suggestions.

He also hinted at surprise inspections of other police stations in the near future.
