Hemant Soren Writes Letter to President Over Manipur Violence

Hemant Soren, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, sends a letter to President Draupadi Murmu expressing concern over violence in Manipur.

RANCHI – Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur.

He has submitted a letter to President Draupadi Murmu citing the ongoing unrest and the recent social media video that surfaced two days ago showing vandalism against tribal women.

In his letter, he has requested the President to intervene and bring peace and harmony to the region.

The chief minister has expressed his distress and worry about the deteriorating situation in Manipur.

Numerous innocent individuals have already lost their lives in the violence, according to media reports.

In addition to this, there has been significant damage to private properties and public infrastructure.

The escalating violence has created a sense of unease among the several ethnic groups residing in the region.

When questioned by the media about the violence against women in Bengal, Rajasthan, and other states, and why he only wrote a letter about the violence in Manipur, the Chief Minister responded.

Hemant Soren arrived in the state capital Ranchi today to launch the Sarathi Yojana for the youth and women of Jharkhand.
