Potka Mukhiya Sangh Requests Transfer of BDO for Development and Peaceful Polls
Local Leaders Demand Immediate Action to Ensure Smooth Election Process in Jamshedpur
The Potka Mukhiya Sangh has formally requested the transfer of Potka Block Development Officer (BDO) during a recent meeting with Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – Mukhiya Panu Sardar led the delegation on Wednesday to express concerns that the current BDO’s actions are hindering development and could affect the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the area.
According to Sardar, a meeting called by the BDO on Tuesday to discuss election preparations started with the officer’s absence.
He alleged that the BDO failed to appear until 1:30 pm, despite the meeting being scheduled for noon, which led to several Mukhiyas leaving and others becoming preoccupied with their own duties.
When the BDO finally arrived around 2:00 pm, his approach was less than professional, marked by the alleged use of unsavoury language due to the reduced attendance.
Furthermore, he allegedly threatened other block chiefs with removal from their posts.
This behavior has sparked significant unrest among the local leaders.
The Sangh believes that a new BDO could accelerate development across all panchayats in the block and ensure that the elections are conducted in a peaceful manner.
