Train Services Disrupted Due to Maintenance Work in South Eastern Railway

Multiple train services to be canceled, rerouted due to maintenance work on South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur and Adra divisions.

JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway has announced a series of cancellations, short terminations, and diversions for various train services in view of maintenance work. The disruption, caused by a Traffic-cum-Power Block for de-launching of a relieving girder at a Normal Height Subway between Asanboni-Salgajhori section in Chakradharpur Division, will affect a number of passenger special trains.

Affected Services in Chakradharpur Division

The services affected include the 08055/08056, 08071/08072 Kharagpur-Tatanagar-Kharagpur Passenger Specials, and the 08151/08152 Tatanagar-Barkakana-Tatanagar Passenger Special, all of which will remain cancelled on 23rd July 2023. The 08173 Asansol-Tatanagar Passenger Special will be short terminated at Purulia and will originate as 08174 Passenger Special from Purulia to Asansol on the same day. The service of 08173/08174 will remain cancelled between Purulia-Tatanagar-Purulia.

Maintenance Work in Adra Division

In addition, there will also be disruptions due to Pre-Non Interlocking and Non-Interlocking work in connection with the construction of a New Line (Doubling) between Talgoria and Bokaro N Cabin in Adra Division.

Affected Services in Adra Division

The 13503/13504 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman MEMU Express and 13319/13320 Dumka-Ranchi-Dumka Express, set to run from 25th to 28th July 2023, will be cancelled. The 18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram Express will be short terminated and originated from Bokaro Steel City during the same period.

Several trains will also be rerouted, including the Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express, Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Express, Patna-Ranchi-Patna Jan Shatabdi Express, Puri-New Delhi-Puri Express, and Anand Vihar-Hatia Express, as well as the Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special.
