The Parsudih area witnessed a shocking theft at Chandni Chowk’s Shiv Temple. Intruders broke through the rear entrance, taking the donation box, which reportedly contained ₹10,000–₹15,000. The temple committee had not emptied the box in a year, amplifying the loss.
Temple Theft Raises Security Concerns
The donation box, discovered discarded in a nearby alley, highlighted how the temple’s rear lock was broken using a rod, suspected to be sourced from a local tent house. The theft has left the community shaken.
Store Theft Adds to the Chaos
Nearby, Singh General Store was looted the same night. Thieves took ₹8,000–₹10,000 in cash and consumables, further alarming residents.
