Jamshedpur – A burglary took place at the residence of Tata Steel employee Ravi Shankar Mishra in Agrico Road No. 1, Sidhgora. The thieves reportedly stole jewelry worth ₹8 lakh and ₹25,000 in cash on Sunday night.
The incident occurred while the family was attending a wedding ceremony at the Agrico Club House. Mishra filed a written complaint against unknown individuals at the Sidhgora police station, detailing the events.
Sequence of Events
Around 8 PM on Sunday, the family locked their home and left for the wedding. At approximately 11:30 PM, Mishra’s son returned home for some work and found the main gate locked from inside. When he raised an alarm, the thieves fled through the back gate.
The family was alerted, and they rushed back to discover that valuables stored in an almirah and bed box were missing. The thieves had also removed the CCTV camera recording chips.
Ongoing Investigation
Sidhgora police have registered the case and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits. The theft has left the family in distress, while police are analyzing evidence to trace the criminals.
