A planning meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Purva Sainik Seva Parishad, Jamshedpur, took place at the Bhalubasa Jambu Akhara, laying the groundwork for the Kargil Day commemorations.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Sunday, the All India Ex-Servicemen Council, Jamshedpur, convened a planning meeting at the Bhalubasa Jambu Akhara to discuss the organisation of Kargil Day commemorations and the expansion of the organisation’s membership.
The meeting, which lasted from 11 am to 12:30 pm, was primarily focused on establishing an organising committee for the Kargil Day festivities.
As part of his address, Vinay K. Yadav highlighted that celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas is intended to promote a sense of military culture among the local population.
Consequently, it was decided to hold a Kargil Day event at the Tube Baridih Recreation Club on July 30 at 4 p.m.
The programme is designed to pay tribute to the 526 martyrs who lost their lives during the Kargil conflict. The Ex-Servicemen Council urged the local population to support such events, arguing that they can inspire the city’s youth to develop a love for the country and consider enlisting in the military.
Manoj Kumar Singh and Kundan Singh were appointed as the coordinator and co-coordinator of the organising committee, respectively.
The programme committee also includes Havildar Awadhesh Kumar and Umesh Kumar Singh as guides, while Satyaprakash and Birju Kumar have been tasked with making the necessary arrangements.
During the meeting, Umesh Kumar Sharma and Deepak Sarkar were given the responsibility of organising the cultural programme.
